Our main Motor Vehicle office at 200 S Spruce Street in Grand Junction will be closed at noon Wednesday, September 16th for staff training.

Our new Clifton location at the Clifton Community Center at 3270 D 1/2 Road will remain open all day.

Our Clifton Motor Vehicle office has moved! Come visit us at the Clifton Community Center located at 3270 D 1/2 Road. The Clifton office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 4:30.

**REMINDER**

Starting on September 1, 2026 all of our Motor Vehicle locations will only conduct VIN inspections on the following vehicles:

-Passenger Vehicles
-Light Trucks
-Motorcycles

All other vehicles and trailers will need to go to your local law enforcement for VIN inspections. You can set appointments with them and they can travel to your house to complete the VIN inspections.

We are happy to announce our Fruita Motor Vehicle office has restored its connectivity issues and will be open to the public tomorrow Thursday 13th at its normal business hours.

Fruita Motor Vehicle Office Closure

Update as of August 10, 2026

Due to connectivity issues with the Colorado Department of Revenue, the Fruita Motor Vehicle Office is temporarily closed while the issue is being resolved. When services are restored we will reopen.

We are working with the Colorado Department of Revenue to restore connectivity and resume services as quickly as possible.

Our Main Office at 200 S. Spruce Street and our Clifton Office remain open and are operating normally to assist customers.

For the latest updates on the Fruita office reopening, please call 970-244-1664 before visiting.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.

Clifton Motor Vehicle is moving to a
new home at the Clifton Community
Center, located at 3270 D 1/2 Road,
Clifton, CO 81520!

To complete the move, our office will
be closed September 7–11. We look
