The Imgaination Station is a playground that has something for all kids to play on. It features swings, slides, rock walls, and wooden Coast Guard boats and more. The theme draws on Grand Haven and what makes this city special! It also has a focus on handicap accessibility with ramps and soft floors to ensure everyone can have a fun playground experience. Located behind the YMCA, the Imagination Station is a great activity for kids and families to enjoy on a nice summer day.

Imagination Station is ready for your 2022 Spring Adventures. Check out the play area which has unmistakable Grand Haven Flare including Coast Guard boat, a lighthouse, a bridge resembling the catwalk, along with a rope climbing wall, a twisty tube slide, a shaky bridge, monkey bars, a cargo net and a variety of different swings. Open dawn until dusk and the best part is it is FREE!

Our beautiful playground is OPEN!!! Please follow all the guides lines for distancing and hand washing. There are many touch points for children at the Imagination Station. Stay safe!

To ensure the safety of you and your family, during this time of concern, the City of Grand Haven is temporarily closing the Imagination Station. Thank you for your understanding as we have to make decisions that are difficult, but serve in the best interest of the families that come to the playground. It is our intent to help eliminate/reduce the transmission of the virus throughout the community. We look forward to the time when we can reopen and welcome everyone back to play. Until then, please continue to keep you and your family safe!

THE REIMAGINE STATION POEM

Imagine a place where children play, free to just be,
To run and swing and climb and bounce, a world of play
Laughter pealing like gladsome church bells,
Inviting the mind to expand and grow and pretend,
To be a pirate, or explorer, a gymnast, a free spirit.
Children, all children, with families and friends
Just being young and happy and carefree.
Here there is no competition or teams to make
Or pressures to bear fruit called winning.
Imagine a place where winning is about having fun,
Expanding minds and fostering creativity.
Oh to steer a mighty ship upon the sea
Or scale the cliffs where only eagles dare,
Climbing upon a fortress mighty and tall
Hand in hand they run swift and sure,
Limited only by their own imagination.
Now, reimagine your own imagination
Rekindling a childhood long since past,
Laughing and enjoying life’s simplicity.
A child imagines when a mind is free
To roam the breadth of all he sees,
The child in you seeks to just be.
