Each year, the Sertoma Club President chooses a charity to receive the money collected through club fines. Past President Megan selected Project Dignity as her charity of choice.

Project Dignity's mission is to help restore dignity to victims of sexual assault and violent crime by providing clothing, toiletries and other essential care items.

A couple of weeks ago, Project Dignity founder Noelle joined us as our guest speaker and shared more about the organization’s meaningful work. Our club was honored to surprise her with a collection of donated items to help support this important cause. 💙💛

Yesterday, our Sertoma of Greater Grand Forks group volunteered at North Country Food Bank, Inc. to help prepare boxes for local seniors through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This program supports low-income seniors by supplementing their diets with nutritious foods each month.

In just 45 minutes, our 15¼ volunteers packed:

📦 160 boxes
🥫 4 pallets of food
⚖️ Approximately 5,280 pounds of food

Each box will go to a senior living within North Country Food Bank’s 21 county service area. With more than 1,200 seniors participating in the program at any given time, we were grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand and support such an important service in our region.

And yes, you read that correctly. We had 15¼ volunteers, thanks to Lisa and Scott from North Country for helping out! 💙

Hungry?? Check out all our food options at Sertoma Park. Remember, the festival is totally free! All you pay for is the food from the vendors. Fun fact: 10% of all vendor sales come back to Sertoma. Win win!
