Seizure Serves as Reminder to Boaters.

On August 12th, a local fishing guide was fined and had his vessel seized after failing to report his return to the U.S. from Canada. If you anchor, make landfall, or contact another vessel/vehicle in foreign waters, you must report your arrival to CBP immediately. Failure to report can result in vessel seizure and fines starting at $5,000. Additional information about this seizure is available in the press release linked below.
