We want to take a moment to remember all those who gave all 25 years ago today! And those who died from complications from being on site afterwards.

We will never foreget 343 Firefighters died doing what they do!
All the rest of the Law enforecement, Port Authority personnel! And lastly all the private citizens just doing their normal daily activities.

Grand Coulee Fire and EMS are aware of the impending bridge closures/delays coming up. We, and surrounding Fire/EMS/Police agencies have been granted an alternate option in emergency situations for emergency vehicles only to be able to utilize the top of the dam as an alternate route.

In emergent situations, your local first responders will get to your emergency in a timely manner! We would like to thank those that have made this option possible for us to continue assisting the public quickly in their time of need, and also those who are making our local bridge safe and up to date for travel.

Our department is made up of volunteers from the Grand Coulee Dam area. At 16 years old, you can become a junior fire fighter at GCVFD. Our training night is held on most Thursday's and start at 6:30pm. We would love to grow our department and community members are always welcomed to stop by and see if volunteering is for you. Let's strengthen our communities together.

Thursday training brought us out into the community as we worked with our structural apparatus. Volunteers covered tool familirazation, practiced using the deck gun and operating the pump, with a brief discussion on the use of thermal imaging device. Red Flag Warning issued August 7 at 11:40AM PDT until August 8 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Spokane WA

A dry cold front will push toward and through the area Friday and Saturday, bringing breezy west to southwesterly winds. Winds will be strong and gusty!

Please be careful, it does not take much of a spark to start a fire and with winds they grow big fast.

If you see a smoke call it in, the sooner we get there the better it is to get it stopped.

Our hearts are saddened for all those who have have been impacted by all the area fires.
