Late January sees increased holiday traffic, and Arizona consistently reports a significant number of DUI-related incidents and motor vehicle accidents during this period, with January showing elevated crash and impairment rates statewide. In northern Arizona, unpredictable winter weather, including snow, ice, and rapidly changing road conditions at high elevations, further raises the risk of accidents. Due to these reasons, Law Enforcement will increase patrols here this evening to help prevent Motor Vehicle Accidents and enhance public safety for our community members and all who visit Grand Canyon National Park. Please never drink and drive, and stay safe while driving.
