🐟 TODAY IS THE DAY! NHCVFD Annual Fish Fry 🍟

Come out to Warren's Backyard and support the North Hood County VFD for our biggest fundraising event of the year! We are serving up fresh, hot food right now until 5:00 PM.

Pop in to eat with the crew or grab a plate to go—either way, your support directly helps us serve our community to the best of our abilities!

Time: Today, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Warren’s Backyard | 2901 Weatherford Hwy, Granbury, TX 76049

Plates: Crispy Fried Fish & Chicken
Sides: Hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, fried pickles, & fried jalapeños (plus all the fixings!)
Pricing: Adults: $15 | Children: $8 (Dine-in or Takeout available)

We look forward to having our friends from Air Evac Lifeteam 69 - Granbury, TX and CareFlite 3 fly in today for the Fish Fry. The tentative schedule is AE69 from 11-12 and CF3 from 12:15 -1:15. Bring the kiddos out to see these magnificent helicopters and their capabilities.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you want to be part of a dedicated, tight-knit team that answers the call when neighbors need it most?

The North Hood County Volunteer Fire Department is looking for motivated individuals to join our organization!

"Do I need prior experience?" ABSOLUTLY NOT!!
No prior experience is necessary—we provide the training, the gear, and the support. We just need your commitment and willingness to learn.

Why Join Us?
Serve Your Community: Direct impact right here in Hood County.

Learn Lifelong Skills: Gain training in firefighting, first aid, and emergency response.

Diverse Roles: We don’t just need firefighters! We also need support staff, administrative help, and community outreach volunteers.

Who Can Apply?
Must be 18 years or older.

Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

Must pass a background check.

Must have a desire to serve with integrity and dedication.
