We have about a week to take on sponsors for our upcoming Voice of Granbury Fall Showcase show on September 24. There are two levels:
For $400, you get a full-page ad in the playbills and four tickets to the show.
For $250, you get a half-page ad in the playbills and two tickets to the show.
We'll also give you a plug whenever possible, such as on Facebook and at the show.

We're a little behind on posting about our recent meetings. Our most recent meeting featured Chad Ammons and Mark Hackney talking about their new nonprofit called Lone Star Rescue and Recovery. A week before that, we heard from a gastroenterologist who's fairly new to the area, Owen Maat. Both programs were very enlightening.

We temporarily had our full lineup for the September 24 show, but a couple of vacancies emerged. So we still have a couple of spots for talented singers to participate. We need singers to fit three main criteria. 1) Keep in contact with our event director to get a song list, bio, and photo on time for our playbills. 2) Help us sell tickets, since you won't advance without a cheering section. 3) Be a good singer. This isn't the gong show.

We're a little behind posting about our recent meetings. We'll start with Brandy Herr, who spoke about the Granbury Ghosts and Legends Tour, as well as a book she wrote about it. (She's also signed up as a singer at our next Voice of Granbury show.) Next was Megan Landress from Pecan Valley Centers, talking about their Veteran Services Program. And this last Thursday, our own Gabby Stenzel spoke about the rise of AI, its uses, and its pros and cons.

We had a great time at our 13th annual Firecracker 5K and fun run this morning. It was our largest race ever, with nearly 300 registrations. Our overall winner was Jaxon Glenn, closely followed by Gannon Dolan (both pictured). Our female winner was Ava Duncan.
