Today is the day!

Our annual Egg Hunt is finally here, and we can’t wait to see everyone. It is going to be a BEAUTIFUL day, and we hope you’ll join us at the pool by 2:00 PM.

We have the BEST Bunny in the patch ready for pictures on a bench by the pool, so be sure to come early.

Photos and gathering begin at **1:30 PM**, and the hunt starts right at **2:00 PM**. It truly goes by in a flash, so arriving early makes all the difference.

Egg Hunters will be released by age group in designated areas, and of course, we have special prizes for the Golden Eggs.
***Please always check your child’s candy, toys, and prizes for safety and allergies.***

If you’d like to help hide eggs, we would love the extra hands. Volunteers are welcome to join us at **12:30 PM**.
We love putting this event together each year and can’t wait to share another fun afternoon with our Rosewood Hills community.
If you have any questions, please reach out to 816-721-7520.

Thank you,
Rosewood Hills HOA

As we prepare for the incoming winter weather, I want to share a few important reminders to help keep our community safe, warm, and accessible over the next several days.

City crews will begin clearing streets as snowfall arrives. To help them do their job effectively, please park all vehicles in your driveways. Cars left on the street make it difficult for plows to get through and can leave large sections of roadway untreated.

Grain Valley Snow Route Map
https://www.cityofgrainvalley.org/files/community_development/emergency_snow_route_map_32326.pdf
shows the primary and secondary routes that service our area. Reviewing it now will help you know what to expect as crews begin clearing.

With temperatures dropping sharply, this is also a good time to check in on elderly neighbors or anyone who may need an extra hand. A quick call or knock on the door can make a big difference during extreme cold.

Please also remember that pets should not be left outside for extended periods. If it’s too cold for us, it’s too cold for them.

Below are a few additional cold‑weather home tips to help prevent freezing pipes and other winter issues:

Cold‑Weather Home Tips

Keep a slow drip running from faucets on exterior walls to prevent freezing.

Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to reach plumbing.

Insulate exposed pipes in garages, basements, and crawl spaces.

Disconnect garden hoses and use insulated covers on outdoor spigots.

Know where your main water shutoff valve is in case a pipe bursts.

Change furnace filters so your system doesn’t struggle in extreme cold.

Seal drafts around doors and windows to keep heat inside.

Use pet‑safe ice melt on sidewalks and driveways.

Lift windshield wipers to prevent them from freezing to the glass.

If a pipe does freeze, warm it slowly with a hair dryer or space heater — never an open flame — and turn off the water supply if you suspect a burst.

Please remeber to contact your helpful neighbor Jessica Huwar with Service Master Restore if you do happen to have damage from a pipe bursting or other home disasters.

Thank you all for helping keep Rosewood Hills safe, thoughtful, and neighborly.

Our community shines brightest when we look out for one another.

Stay warm and stay safe.
