Pollard Point: A strong community isn’t built only in government buildings.

It’s built at ball fields, small businesses, local events—and yes, even card shows. 😂

I love seeing people turn their passions into businesses, bring families together, and create reasons for neighbors to get out and connect.

That’s the Jackson County I want to help build: a county where people can build something, enjoy their community, and have a little fun along the way.

Someone earned it.
Someone paid it.
And someone should be accountable for how it’s spent.

That’s what financial responsibility in Jackson County should look like.

Taxpayer money isn’t the government’s money. It’s money entrusted to those elected to serve.

That means asking questions before spending it, listening to the people who are paying for it, and being willing to admit when something isn’t working.

Public office is stewardship, not status.

Jackson County deserves leaders who treat every taxpayer dollar with the same care they would treat their own.

Ask questions. Seek understanding. Act with integrity.

That’s how we rebuild trust—and make Jackson County work for all of us.

Had a great evening at Lone Jack Pizza Co. It was such a pleasure meeting so many wonderful people from Lone Jack and spending time with some great candidates who are working hard to serve their communities.

I’m always grateful for opportunities to listen, connect, and get to know the people who make our communities so special. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great evening!

You don’t have to agree with me to matter to me.

Others seem to practice putting people into political boxes—deciding who is “good,” who is “bad,” and who is worth listening to based on how they vote or what they believe.

I think we can do better.

You can disagree with me and still be my neighbor. You can challenge my ideas and still have a seat at the table. And you can believe differently than I do without me questioning your character.

Kindness doesn’t belong to one political party. Neither does compassion, generosity, service, or love of neighbor.

Leadership isn’t about surrounding ourselves with people who already agree with us. It’s about having the humility to listen, the courage to ask questions, and the integrity to do what’s right—even when we disagree.

Jackson County doesn’t need more political division. We need leaders willing to listen to all of us.

Because you don’t have to agree with me to matter to me.
