I want to take a moment to recognize and brag on our Jail Team. As we enter county budget season, I’ve been reviewing the revenue trends from our out-of-county inmate housing over the past several years, and I’m proud to say we have performed exceptionally well, the last 3 years compared to prior years.

Our jail staff has worked extremely hard managing both local inmates and out-of-county housing, while maintaining efficiency and making the best possible use of our jail facilities.

I also want to thank the Commissioners Court and Win Graham, Young County Judge for their collaboration and support in negotiating out-of-county contracts that provide the maximum benefit to Young County.
