In preparation for the upcoming 3 Bridges 5K race on Saturday, July 15th, we wanted to make the public aware of lane closures in Grafton that may impact commutes from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 10:00 a.m.
There will be a double-lane closure on Yates Avenue from Rose Street to the intersection of Yates and Beech by the Exxon for the duration of the race.
From there, the right-hand lane will be closed throughout the 3 Bridge Loop making left-hand turns inaccessible.
The right lane closure will run from Yates onto Beech Street, continuing down Main Street to the intersection of Barrett Street.
This right-hand lane closure will continue across the Frederick Burdett Warder Memorial Bridge on Barrett to the intersection of Barrett and Front Streets, down Front Street and across the Clair Bee Memorial Bridge on Beech Street.
The lane closure then proceeds onto the right-hand lane of Maple Avenue to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Spruce Streets, where it continues down Spruce to the intersection of Spruce and Thayer Streets.
The right-hand lane closure continues down Thayer Street and onto Walnut Street, back to the intersection of Yates Avenue and Beech Street and turns into the double lane closure on Yates Ave.
As race traffic clears each area along the route, all lanes will reopen, except for the double lane closure on Yates Avenue.
