HYDRANT FLUSHING – Monday September 14, 2026
Beginning on September 15, 2026, and ending on October 30, 2026, the Grafton Water District conducts system-wide hydrant flushing. Flushing occurs during daylight hours, weather permitting.
Water Advisory:
If you experience brown or discolored water, please flush your pipes until water is clear. Using an outside faucet will be more effective than inside.
Tomorrow’s Flushing Plan:
We will resume flushing tomorrow morning and plan to flush the following streets/areas:
• East St
• Harrison
• Ray St
• North Main St
• Westboro Rd.
• Elm St
• Nelson Rd
This will cause discolored water, which may stain your laundry. Please limit use of water during flushing to minimize discoloration inside your home.

• Updates will be posted at graftonwaterdistrict.org and on our page: Grafton Water District.
• Questions? Contact us at [email protected] or 508-839-2302 (weekdays, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Discolored Water Notice

We have received reports of discolored water in some areas over the weekend and again this morning. At this time, the cause of the discoloration is unknown, and our crews are actively investigating.

Reports have been sporadic and are not isolated to one specific area. Crews will be flushing hydrants in areas where we have received a higher concentration of reports to help clear the discoloration.

If you are experiencing discolored water, please run your cold water for approximately 15–20 minutes. If the discoloration does not clear after flushing, please contact our office so we can document the location and assist further.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while our crews continue to investigate.

**Discolored Water Notice – North Grafton**

We have received reports of discolored water in the North Grafton area. Our Water Department operators are currently flushing hydrants to help alleviate the issue while also investigating the cause of the discoloration.

If you experience discolored water, we recommend limiting water use until it clears. Once the water appears clear, run your **outside faucet** for approximately **15 minutes**, as this is often the most effective way to flush your service line. If you do not have an outside faucet, you may use the cold water tap closest to where your water service enters your home.

We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
