‼️‼️‼️Attention Members‼️‼️‼️
As winter approaches, it's important to take steps to winterize your water lines to prevent freezing and potential damage. Here are some key actions to consider:
1. **Insulate Pipes**: Use pipe insulation or heat tape on exposed water lines, especially those in unheated areas like attics, or crawl spaces.
2. **Seal Cracks**: Inspect your home for any cracks or openings around windows, doors, and foundations, and seal them to keep cold air out.
3. **Keep Garage Doors Closed**: If you have water supply lines in your garage, make sure to keep the garage doors closed as much as possible.
4. **Let Faucets Drip**: During extreme cold spells, allow faucets to drip slightly to keep water moving through the pipes.
5. **Shut Off Outdoor Faucets**: Disconnect hoses and shut off the water supply to outdoor faucets and/or winterize faucets to make sure they do not freeze. Drain any remaining water to prevent freezing.
6. For members with RPZA devices these are especially vulnerable, please insure these are adequately protected from the inclement weather.
Taking these precautions can help protect your plumbing and avoid costly repairs. Thank you for your attention to this important matter!
