Our 911 dispatchers are the calm in the chaos — the steady voice guiding callers through their worst moments while coordinating help every second of the day. Their professionalism, compassion, and quick thinking save lives.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend & colleague, Catherine Knapp, who passed away on November 25, 2025. Catherine was known for her dedication and strong personality. We will forever cherish the memories we had with her. Details about a celebration of life/funeral will be shared soon.

Chris started out, on Harvard Fire Department in 1990 then when Harvard shut down, he continued his volunteer on Spencer since 1992.
Chris's last day with Spencer Township Fire Department will be on December 8th.
Congratulations Christopher Lange .
Chris will continue his duties as an elected official on Spencer Township Board, our grounds person and community service coordinator.

We had our landing zone class tonight.
Everyone be safe out there, we don't like to land these helicopters except for our trainings. Other times are sad. 😢

Our hearts are aching and prayers for strength and mental health for all our colleagues, as we mourn the passing of such a great young man. He touched the hearts of so many people. He will be deeply missed. Never forgotten Sam Deems. 😢❤️

Thanks to our mutual aid departments for helping at our fire on Thursday.
Thanks Sand Lake Fire, Oakfield Firedept Lakeview Fire District and Montcalm Township Fire. Also to Greenville Public Safety Fire for setting up a hydrant for us.
