Today paramedic student Kitchens participated in EMS Relay that we held at our base as part of her training. We want to ensure that she acquires as much knowledge as we can pass on and build a stable skill set foundation. She still has a few more months before she tests out but until then we’ll continue to train this young lady to high standards so that she’s prepared to provide exceptional care to the community.

Our 300 Club Early Bird Drawing is only two months away! Four individuals will win $250 each! Don’t miss the June 30th deadline! Here’s a tip: As of today we have sold 142 tickets. That means each of these ticket holders has a 1 in 35 chance of winning $250, not bad odds!

On 5/1/26 Gowanda Ambulance Crew were faced with a challenging call in the field. The crew answered an imminent delivery call and successfully delivered the baby. The crew performed exceptional emergency care in the field and were able to transport mother and baby safely to the hospital. Pictured are the crew (From Left to Right) EMT-Basic Brandon Nolan, Paramedic Jessie Lane, and Paramedic Kaylie DuBois. Well, done.

We at Gowanda Ambulance Service are thankful that we were not needed to respond to the incidents that occurred at the Collins Correctional Facility on Saturday, May 2nd and our thoughts and prayers are with all the staff members, especially those that needed treatment. We stand ready to respond any time we are called but we are finding it increasingly difficult to cover our financial obligations due to the shocking amount that NYSDOCCS currently is in arrears with our small, non profit service. We are currently selling tickets to our 300 Club Raffle to help us meet expenses and to insure that we will continue to be there when you need us. I am asking that you please share this information and also contact your local government officials to ask them to put pressure on NYSDOCCS to cover their financial obligations. THANKS!

Looking for opinions. Last year Gowanda Ambulance Service’s 300 Club Raffle was a success and we’ve been asked to hold another one this year. What do you think? Should we make this an annual event?
