The Gosnell Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Southern Sister Co. Photography and the Robbins Family for their generous donation of cases of bottled water to the Gosnell Police Department and Gosnell Fire Department.

Acts of kindness and support like this mean a great deal to our first responders. Your generosity helps keep our officers and firefighters hydrated while they continue serving and protecting our community.

ARKANSAS LAW OF THE WEEK 🚔

Protection from Secondhand Smoke for Children Act Arkansas Code § 20-27-1903

It is astonishing how many people we come in contact with that do not know that it is illegal in Arkansas to smoke in a vehicle when a child under the age of 14 is present!
Even with the windows rolled down, secondhand smoke can remain concentrated inside a vehicle and expose children to harmful toxins and pollutants. Children are especially vulnerable to the health effects of secondhand smoke, which can increase the risk of respiratory illnesses, asthma attacks, ear infections, and other serious health concerns.
📖 Arkansas Code § 20-27-1903 states:
"Smoking is prohibited in any motor vehicle with a child passenger who is less than fourteen (14) years of age."
✅ The law is simple: If a child under 14 is in the vehicle, do not smoke.

The Gosnell Police Department is excited to help spread the word about the Gosnell Fire Department’s 1st Annual Water Day!

🇺🇸 July 4th
🕛 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
📍 Gosnell High School Student Parking Lot

Bring the whole family out for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and cooling off in the summer heat! The Gosnell Fire Department will have fire trucks spraying water, plenty of space to play, and FREE hot dogs and water for the kids.

🔫 Don’t forget to bring your water guns!

This is a great opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate Independence Day, and enjoy a safe, family-friendly event.

📢 Gosnell Police Department – Courtroom Notice 📢

The Gosnell Police Department would like to remind all individuals appearing in court of the following courtroom security procedures:

🔹 All persons entering the courtroom will be subject to a weapons screening as directed by the court.

🔹 No weapons of any kind are permitted inside the courtroom. This includes fi****ms, knives, and any other cutting instruments. Please secure these items in your vehicle before entering the building.

🔹 Cell phones are not allowed in the courtroom unless they contain evidence directly related to the case for which you are appearing.

🔹 The Gosnell Police Department will not store or hold prohibited items. If you arrive with any restricted item, you will be required to return it to your vehicle before entering.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and secure environment for all court proceedings.

Officers with the Gosnell Police Department recently participated in the 1st Annual Law Enforcement Fi****ms Competition hosted by the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office.

We are proud to recognize Corporal Cade Liles, who earned 2nd Place in the Individual Handgun with Optic Course competition. This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence that our officers bring to their training and service every day.

We are proud of all of our officers who represented the Gosnell Police Department during this event and demonstrated their skills alongside fellow law enforcement professionals from across the county.

A special thank you to the Mississippi County Sheriff Office for organizing and hosting this outstanding event. We appreciate the opportunity to participate and look forward to future competitions.

The Gosnell Police Department has been made aware of a scam message circulating across Arkansas this morning. The message claims to be a “Final Court-Ordered Mandatory Collection Notice” and may include a QR code for payment.

⚠️ THIS IS A SCAM ⚠️

Please remember:
• Courts will NOT request payment through QR codes or unsolicited messages.
• Do NOT scan the QR code.
• Do NOT provide any personal or financial information.

If you receive this message:
✔️ Delete it immediately
✔️ Block the number it came from

Payment must be made at Gosnell City Hall prior to receiving fingerprinting services.
