If your loved one is interred at our columbarium, you might have noticed that our beautiful walkway leads directly to our office parking which sometimes creates a situation of accessibility if vehicles are parked in front of it. We had no other choice at the time when the walkway was installed. Searching for a "fix", I gave my friend, Ryan Landeck of Sealcoat USA from over on Pulaski Hwy a call. After explaining our situation, Ryan responded, "We can fix that for you- can we do it today?" A few hours later, the two parking spots in front of the walkway are now a designated "No Parking" zone. Please remember to respect and obey this area when visiting the grounds and office.

Thank You Ryan! It is very comforting to continually be reminded how much our local businesses support our Veterans and their community.

A huge thank you to Dwight and Jason Healey, and the entire Healey Brothers team, for their generous $2,500 donation to Wreaths Across America. We’re grateful for this outstanding local business and its continued dedication to honoring our veterans.

This year’s Wreaths Across America observance includes the wreath es**rt parade on Thursday, December 11th, and the wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 13th, at the County’s Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The Orange County Veterans Cemetery is proudly adorned with 4,300 flags, thanks to the dedicated cadets from the City of Middletown, NY JROTC, the new SS Seward JROTC program, and the Nam Knights OrangeCounty Chapter.

This powerful tribute will remain through the end of next week, weather permitting. Please take a moment to stop by and honor the brave men and women who served our country.

It was a Packed house for the final Veteran Movie Day of 2025!
Veterans brought along their friends and grandkids to enjoy a free showing of Nuremberg over Christmas Break. Our County Executive and Orange County Emergency Services- NY Peer Support Coordinator, Phil Salinardi, was on hand to enjoy the movie alongside everyone.

A special thank you to the Orange County Veterans Service Agency, NY, for helping make this event possible, and to Flagship Cinemas Monroe for hosting us and making everyone feel so welcome.

Some of you who visit often may have noticed something missing during your visit, like that friendly smile and wave from Dave. Dave had a medical emergency last week and will be away from the cemetery for several weeks. Rest assured that he is on the mend and feeling better each day.
