Last night, members of our office proudly took the stage at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center to be recognized for their significant achievements in Emergency Medical Services.
Deputy Justin Velez, Deputy Hannah Taylor, and Corrections Sergeant Richard Vega completed over 180 hours of classroom, laboratory, clinical, and scenario-based instruction and earned their official New York State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certifications.
Special congratulations to Corrections 1st Sergeant Paul Brahm, who has completed all requirements to become a New York State Certified Lab Instructor (CLI), and to Deputy Timothy Hluchan, who is continuing his progression toward becoming a New York State Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC), the highest level of EMS educator certification in New York State. Deputy Hluchan completed a significant portion of the teaching internship and educational requirements and will return in the Fall to finish the remainder.
Congratulations to all the graduates and instructors for their achievements!
