This week, we were able to provide five opportunities for children ages 6–8 to experience camp at The Salvation Army Hidden Falls Camp.

For some of these children, this was their very first camp experience, and they absolutely loved it! From making new friends and trying new activities to learning about God’s love in a fun and encouraging environment, this week has been filled with memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to everyone who gives, prays, and partners with us to make opportunities like this possible. Your support is helping children grow in confidence, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ in a meaningful way. ❤️🏕️🙏

And the final numbers are in from our Annual Pancake Day!

We set an ambitious goal of $70,000, and while we fell just short of that mark, we are thrilled to share that we raised an incredible $67,251.31—over 96% of our goal!

Even more exciting, approximately $13,000 of that total was raised on the day of the event itself, which is truly amazing.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who attended and supported this event. It is an honor to stand alongside our community and serve together as we work to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Final numbers are in with 7,600 pounds of food raised to help support the Pantries of both pantries in our community!

What an incredible day, Goshen! ❤️🥫

Today, during the Postal Food Drive, our community came together and raised 6,316 pounds of food to help fight hunger right here in our local area!

We still have more food to weigh and are hopeful that additional donations will continue to come in early next week. Every donation matters and will help provide hope and meals to families in need.

While we did not reach our 11,000 pound goal, we are beyond grateful for every single donation that was given. Every can, every box, and every bag of food will make a difference for families, seniors, children, and individuals facing food insecurity in our community.

There is still time to participate in today’s Postal Food Drive!

Here’s how you can help:

📦 Gather nonperishable food items from your pantry such as:
• Canned vegetables & fruit
• Soup
• Peanut butter
• Pasta & rice
• Mac & cheese
• Cereal & oatmeal

• Canned meats

📬 Place your donations in a sturdy bag or box near your mailbox before your mail is delivered today.

Today is the annual Postal Food Drive — one of the largest one-day food drives in the country! This is such an easy way to help local families facing food insecurity.

Here’s how to participate:

📬 Check your mailbox for the Postal Food Drive flyer or donation bag.🥫 Gather nonperishable food items such as canned vegetables, soups, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, rice, macaroni & cheese, boxed meals, and other shelf-stable foods.🛍 Place your donations in a sturdy bag by your mailbox before your regular mail delivery today.📮 Your postal carrier will pick up the food while delivering mail and make sure it gets distributed to local organizations helping our community.

Donations collected today will help support organizations like The Salvation Army - Goshen, IN & The Window, Inc.

Our food pantry shelves are quickly emptying as we continue providing food to families throughout our surrounding communities. Here’s how you can help!

Be on the lookout in your mail for a flyer like the one below — the Postal Food Drive takes place on Saturday, May 9th. Simply place nonperishable food donations near your mailbox, and your postal workers and/or our volunteers will collect them during their route.

If you would prefer to drop off donations in person on May 9th, please stop by The Salvation Army of Goshen between 9 AM–5 PM.

Both organizations, along with numerous community volunteers, will be working tirelessly throughout the day to collect, sort, and transport food to the proper locations.

This year, help us reach our goal of collecting 11,000 pounds of food for our community!
