20 pounds of Zebu in a class full of 1,200-pound Angus (and Beau)… BIG DOG doing BIG DOG things. 😂🐮

This year, we got to send our little Zebu to the fair alongside Beau! She was definitely a little out of place compared to the breeds we typically see in our area, but that’s what made it so special.

We’re proud to help diversify the breeds represented at our local fair while giving our FFA students the chance to work with and show animals they may not otherwise experience.

Most of all, we’re incredibly proud of our FFA kids and the showmanship, dedication, and passion they brought to the ring. ❤️🏆

Just to clear up a little confusion from the fair… 😂🐮

Cholula is NOT Beau’s baby!

🤍 Beau is a Brahman steer, meaning he is a male who has been castrated and cannot produce offspring.

🤎 Cholula is a Zebu heifer, meaning she is a young female who has never had a calf.

Despite his very strong motherly instincts, Beau is definitely not Cholula’s mom 😂❤️ He’s just taken it upon himself to keep his tiny fair buddy close!

We loved seeing how many people stopped by to meet Beau & Cholula at the fair! 🐮💕

If you’re looking for a unique family day trip, add Action Wildlife in Goshen, CT to your bucket list! 🐾

The kids had the best time exploring this wildlife park, getting up close with incredible animals like zebras, bison, capybaras, and donkeys. We loved taking the hayride into the animal habitats, visiting the petting zoo, and ending the day at the giant sand pit where the kids could play.

It’s the perfect mix of adventure, learning, and outdoor fun for the whole family!

Just out here looking eland-gant. 🦌✨
Eland Musk has big horns. Bigger attitude. Zero bad angles.

And those horns aren’t finished yet! Eland horns grow throughout much of their lives, developing their signature spiral twist as they lengthen. 🌀 Each new turn makes them a little more impressive and gives you a pretty good hint that this handsome guy still has some growing to do!
