Gideon's Closet Gideon's Closet accepts new and gently used clothing and other items and connects the donations with Foster and Adoptive families who can use them.

Our mission is to share the love of Jesus with foster, adoptive youth, and kinship placements and their families through providing clothing, supplies, and support. We know that God created each child in His image, and in James 1:27 he reveals to us that it is a pretty big priority to him that these children get taken care of. :) Our Goal is to be a support for families who are involved with Foster

ing or Adoption - this includes bio families. Support may come in the form of clothing, hygiene products, prayer, or meals. Our Mission: To support Foster and Adoptive families through clothing, prayer, and meals, in hopes that more children will know the love of the Heavenly Father.

Partnering with local hairdressers Leah and Alyssa to provide fresh haircuts for kids experiencing foster care has been one of our favorite new developments at the Community Church of Waterford through this Foster Care Ministry. What an inspiration to all of us these ladies are, using the gifts and talents they've been given to stand in the gap for kids during one of the hardest seasons of their lives and to help them find a sense of belonging.

Meet Tonda! She’s a Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and has had lots of experience being a foster-Grandma as well. She enjoys gardening, taking her dog on walks, and spending time with her family.

Tonda has seen first hand how all families need support and in her retirement from teaching middle school Special Education she has felt called to be a support to families through starting a Foster Closet at her home church, Community Church of Waterford in Goshen.

We are so grateful for you, Tonda!
