West Nile Virus has been found in mosquitoes across multiple areas of the County. OCDOH is encouraging all residents to take precautions to reduce the risk of mosquito bites including:

1. Use an EPA-registered insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, IR3535 or oil of lemon eucalyptus
Remove standing water to prevent mosquito breeding such as bird baths, planters, 2. containers, and water bowls for pets
3. Consider wearing long-sleeved shirts, long pants, socks, and shoes when spending time outdoors, especially during dawn and dusk when the mosquitoes that transmit WNV are more active

The second edition of the Intergenerational Games hit its target, uniting the Orange County seniors and the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club for a day of archery, tug of war, fishing, and paddle boating.

Generations laughed and competed together showing what community spirit is all about.
