These young men, Four of Goshen’s seniors attended the national Championshipship for JROTC this weekend in Fort Knox. The Live Oaks male team came in first and won the National Championship.

Parents, today at 3:28pm an emergency alert was triggered at Marr/Cook. We immediately investigated and found that there was no danger and all students were safe.

Thank you to our teachers for their excellent response to this alert, and to Goshen Twp PD for immediately acting to keep our campus safe.

My role as a school board member is not just a title, it’s a responsibility to be the voice for those who often go unheard. I was elected to represent the families and students of this district, and I take that duty seriously. They deserve fairness, dignity, and respect in every decision we make.

But advocacy doesn’t stop there. I also stand firmly with our teachers and administrators when they’re placed in unfair situations. They are the backbone of our schools and deserve the same respect and support.

While the district has legal counsel and our educators have union representation, our students and their families rely on board members to have their backs, to speak up when something isn’t right, and to ensure that every stakeholder in our community is treated with equity and care.

This isn’t just about policy, it’s about people. And I intend to keep showing up for all of them.

This role isn’t about picking sides. It’s about doing what’s right. It’s about ensuring that every person in our district—whether student, parent, teacher, or staff—is seen, heard, and valued.
