🏹 Mill Branch Park just got another upgrade!🌿

Thanks to the Goshen Parks & Recreation Commission, the Goshen Infrastructure & Facilities Management team, and everyone else who helped make it happen, Mill Branch Park now has a brand-new 6-target archery range that is open to the public!

Ready to give it a shot? 😉 Here’s how to get there:

From the North Entrance parking lot:
• Park in the North Entrance parking lot off Hwy 45/Bowen Blvd.
• Before crossing the new bridge, turn left onto the trail and continue through the gate.
• Use the stepping stones to cross the creek, and the archery range will be on your left!

From the paved path at the North Entrance:
• Follow the paved path all the way to the old chicken house pad.
• Turn left toward the spring house, then take another left onto the mowed trail. Follow it to the archery range.

Whether you’re an experienced archer or just looking for something new to try, come check it out and enjoy another great addition to Mill Branch Park!

Please remember to practice safe archery, be aware of the rules, and be respectful of the park and other visitors. ❤️

Does anyone recognize this sweet boy? 🐾❤️

He was picked up by Goshen Animal Control after being spotted trying to chase vehicles along Hwy 46/Bowen Blvd, right in front of the north entrance to Mill Branch Park.

Unfortunately, his microchip information wasn’t up to date, and the last registered owner listed is Saul Fernandez.

We know someone is missing this handsome guy, so let’s help get him home! 🏡🐶

Please share and tag anyone who might recognize him!

This is Chichory! 🐾

Chichory was found hanging out inside the Post Office and apparently decided he was ready to hitch a ride home with someone! 😂

He is microchipped, but unfortunately, the phone numbers associated with his chip were disconnected from him after he was rehomed about three years ago.

Does anyone recognize this handsome pup or know who he might belong to? Please share and help us get Chichory back home! ❤️

Washington County Arkansas Judge Patrick Deakins has issued a county wide burn ban beginning today, August 11, at noon.

“Right now, we have to consider not only the threat of fire, but also the conditions our firefighters and other emergency responders are working in,” said Judge Deakins. With temperatures in the upper 90s and heat indexes expected to exceed 100 degrees, the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke is very real. “A burn ban will not eliminate every fire, but it can reduce the number of preventable fires caused by outdoor burning. Every fire we can prevent means one less situation where we are asking our first responders to work in these extreme conditions.”

🏛️ A Piece of Goshen History 🏛️

If you've driven down Goshen-Tuttle Road, you've probably noticed the charming little building with the iconic Coca-Cola mural painted on its side. That landmark is the Historic Tisdale Store & Post Office—and it holds a special place in Goshen's story.

At the July 14, 2026, City Council Meeting, Kim Watson presented a special recognition honoring the Wilson Family and this treasured piece of local history.

Built in 1874, the Tisdale Store & Post Office served as both the town's general store and post office. As businesses and homes began to gather around it, the building became the heart of the growing community, helping shape the Goshen we know.

Today, we're proud to celebrate that the Tisdale Store & Post Office is officially listed on the National Registery of Historic Places, preserving an important part of our town's heritage for generations to come. 💛
