🦝 Sometimes all they need is a safe place to land.

This little raccoon has traded uncertainty for a sturdy branch, a full belly, and the chance to just be a raccoon again. Watching them climb, explore, and gain confidence reminds us why wildlife rehabilitation matters.

One animal. One second chance. One more success story in the making. 💚❤️

Some days at AGR Wildlife Rehab look like a Disney movie… and some days look like a tiny raccoon crime ring running the nursery at 3 a.m. 🦝😂

From sleepy baby raccoons to spicy little opossums and cottontail rabbits that act like they pay the mortgage around here — every animal that comes through our doors gets a second chance.

A few fun wildlife facts while we’re covered in formula and laundry:
• Baby opossums ride on mom’s back once they outgrow the pouch.
• Raccoons are incredibly intelligent and can remember problem-solving tasks for years.
• Baby rabbits can stress very easily, which is why wildlife rehabbers keep handling to a minimum.
• Fox kits may look like puppies, but they have very different dietary and medical needs.

Wildlife rehab is equal parts science, patience, heartbreak, joy… and trying to figure out who just flipped over the food bowl for the fourth time today. (Looking at you, raccoons. 👀)

At AGR Wildlife Rehab, we work hard to give orphaned and injured wildlife a safe place to heal, grow, and eventually return where they belong — back to the wild.

Thank you to everyone who follows, shares, donates, transports, builds cages, washes blankets, and cheers these babies on. You are part of every release story. You can reach us at (682)294-0796❤️🦊🐇🦝

They won’t stay this little for long—and that’s the goal. 🦝

Right now it’s warm blankets, full bellies, and lots of quiet care. Behind the scenes, it’s early mornings, late nights, bottles, cleaning, and watching every little milestone like a hawk. One day their eyes open, the next they’re finding their footing… and before you know it, they’re climbing, exploring, and acting like proper raccoons.

That’s the heart of wildlife rehab—raising them just enough so they don’t need us anymore.

Every ounce gained, every step forward, is one step closer to the wild where they belong.

If you’d like to be part of their journey, we can always use support—fresh fruit, veggies, and turkey are daily staples around here.

Second chances start small… and grow fast.

If you ever wondered what pure cuteness looks like… here it is 😍

Several tiny faces, one dinner plate, and not a single personal space boundary in sight. Welcome to the nightly “everyone pile in and eat” meeting 🐾

They may be small now, but give it a little time—these wiggle noodles will be climbing, exploring, and keeping us on our toes.

When your “garden helpers” take their job a little too seriously… 😅

These little armored excavators are doing what they do best—digging for bugs and turning over soil like tiny bulldozers. Nature’s pest control, just with a bit more attitude (and armor).

Every scoop of dirt = a full belly and one more step toward a healthy release back where they belong. 🐾
