I lost the election, but that's ok! I am truly happy with where I am in life and incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me through this crazy journey.

This experience taught me a lot - especially that I am not a politician, nor do I have any desire to be one! What I am is grateful. Grateful for the encouragement, the conversations, the friendships, and the people who stood beside me along the way.

A special thank you to my husband, Carl Haney, and my boys, Jayden Taylor and Wyatt Lierman, and Cory Ainslie for being my biggest supporters and for holding me up through all of this. Thank you to my co-workers who didn't want to see me leave, but still supported and encouraged me every step of the way. Thank you to my friends and family for the kind words, prayers, guidance, and constant support.

I am thankful for the new friendships I made during this process, and also thankful for the clarity to recognize who my true friends are.

No matter the outcome, I am grateful for where I am today and excited that this campaign is over!

I've had several people ask why I would want to run for Gooding County Clerk.

I currently serve as the City Clerk. I have experience managing public records, working with and preparing budgets, attending meetings, preparing and posting agendas, preparing meeting minutes, working with auditors, and ensuring transparency. This role has given me an understanding of laws, procedures, and responsibilities that are critical to the Clerk's office.

Every day, I work with the public, elected officials, and other agencies to make sure things run smoothly and accurately. I understand how important it is to be organized, detail-oriented, and accessible - and I take pride in doing the job right. I do understand that the City Clerk is not the same as the County Clerk, but it is, in ways very similar, but on a different level.

Being a County Clerk isn't something you learn overnight. It requires experience, dedication, and a commitment to serving the people of Gooding County with integrity and professionalism. I believe my background has prepared me to step into this role and continue serving you effectively from day one.

I care about our community and would be honored to earn your support and vote on May 19th.
