Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.
While today is often celebrated with backyard barbecues and family gatherings, let's take a quiet moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.
To the fallen heroes, and the families they left behind—we owe you a debt of gratitude that can never fully be repaid.

🚨 LIGHT THE NIGHT FOR OUR FALLEN HEROES 🚨
In late 2023, our neighbors and brothers at the Concord Green Volunteer Fire Department suffered an unimaginable loss. Fire Chief Ralph Stegbauer, a 47-year veteran, and Captain Jeff Skaggs, a 25-year veteran, lost their lives while serving there community.

These men dedicated their lives to protecting others, and their legacy continues to echo through our community. On May 3, their names will be officially added to the National Fallen Firefighters' Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
To show our support for their families and the Concord Green Fire Department, we are asking the community to join us in a local tribute:

WHAT: Light the Night Red

HOW: Replace your porch light with a RED bulb

WHEN: April 26 – May 3

Let’s turn Wayne Township and the surrounding areas into a sea of red to honor Chief Stegbauer and Captain Skaggs. It’s a small gesture, but it sends a powerful message that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Please share this post to help us spread the
word!

Be kind. Stay safe
