The Goochland County Parks & Recreation Wall of Fame award is intended to honor a Goochland resident with longstanding humanitarian commitment to addressing community needs.

This award brings to light community service as an important element of the humanitarian mission, and singles out individuals who serve as examples of social responsiveness on behalf of Goochland County. The award recipient must have demonstrated broad-based, commitment to community service as reflected in a variety of programs and initiatives which are responsive to community and social needs.

Hidden Rock Park (HRP)
1920 Hidden Rock Lane, Maidens, VA 23102

Hidden Rock Park is a 60-acre facility that serves as home to Goochland Youth
Athletic Association’s baseball and softball programs. The northern portion of the
facility contains two youth baseball fields and two full-sized baseball/softball fields. All of these fields are lighted.

In addition, Hidden Rock has nature trails, two picnic shelters, nine-basket disk golf course, a concession stand with public restrooms, an asphalt basketball court, covered and lighted batting cages, and a sand volleyball court.

It also contains the Hidden Rock Bark Dog Park, built in partnership with Goochland Pet Lovers, that connects to the Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center via a trail system.
