Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony
A heartfelt tribute recognizing the courage and service of our Vietnam Veterans. With a special presentation!

May 25
Memorial Day Ceremony
A solemn observance honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States.

July 4
America’s 250th Birthday Celebration
Commemorating 250 years of American independence, unity, and freedom.

November 8
Ascension Parish Veterans Parade
Honoring all veterans young and old with a red, white and blue parade through Gonzales.

November 11
Veterans Day Ceremony
Honoring all who have faithfully served in the United States Armed Forces.

December 19
Wreaths Across America
Honor your favorite veterans grave site.

All ceremonies are open to the public.

Wreaths are on their way. Wreaths will be available for pick up at Ascension Veterans Memorial Park between 9:00 - 11:00 am on Saturday, December 13th. Contact the Location Coordinator at 256-656-2124 if you have questions.

The deadline for ordering wreaths to honor our deceased veterans over the holidays is fast approaching. Mail-in orders are due 26 Nov 25 while wreaths may be ordered online until 2 Dec 25. We are only a third of the way to our goal of 300 wreaths.

VETERANS DAY AT OUR VETERANS PARK WAS A GREAT SUCCESS .IT IS TIME TO LET EVERYONE THAT CAME OUT, AND EVERYONE THAT HELPED MAKE IT SUCH A GREAT EVENT KNOW HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOU ALL. THE MEMBERS OF THE ASCENSION VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK FOUNDATION ARE DEDICATED TO HONORING AND REMEMBERING ALL WHO SERVED.
THE PEOPLE OF ASCENSION ARE THE BEST AT LETTING ALL KNOW HOW MUCH THEY HONOR OUR VETERANS.
