Global Medical Brigades (GMB) is dedicated to working with licensed medical professionals to provide medical care to rural communities that have limited healthcare access. Past GMB teams have traveled to underserved communities in Nicaragua, Ghana, and Panama. On each trip, around 900 individuals are seen for medical examinations. Many receive needed medication they do not normally have access to.

Throughout the year members of UCSB's GMB chapter collaborate with health care professionals, coordinate with financial sponsors, and co-organize a service trip to install a temporary medical clinic in an underserved community.

Thank you so much to all of those who have applied! This is going to be an amazing year and we can not wait to get started. However, due to time constraints, we will have to wait a little bit longer.
Interviews will now be held the week of October 24th.
You will be informed of the result of your application by Friday, October 21st.
We are sorry for the change in dates but we look forward to the rest of this application process!

Hello!

Applications are due by October 14th at 11:59pm. Please email your completed application in a word document to [email protected] with the subject line "[YOUR NAME] GMB Application". Look out for an email after the 14th regarding interviews.

If you have further questions, you can email us here or reach out to either Lyan or Dakota on Facebook. We will be holding a fundraiser at Gios Pizza in IV on Monday, October 10th from 6-9pm. The money raised will go directly to reducing the cost of the brigade, so make sure to come out with your friends and grab a slice/beer! GMB Officers will be there, so if you want to get to know us more or ask any other questions about the brigade we'd love to talk to you!
