Happy Birthday, Bob and Dean!

Given today's presentation on AI, I was delighted that Elvira's fast candid shot didn't turn out very well. The second image is ChatGPT's cleaned up version. 📷🎉😎

Kristy Kulberg of the CCDRA—Coastal Carolina Disaster Resiliency Agency receives $1,848 from Three Eagles Rotary for the purchase of tarps, presented by club member Bill Thompson.

When we assemble flood buckets (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DWpDFEj1q/), we do not include tarps. The CCDRA is able to purchase them at a significant discount from a major home improvement retailer, which allows our contribution to go further.

At our Rotary meeting this week, we welcomed Sebastian Ratliff, District Administrator for the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program in Wayne, Lenoir, and Greene Counties. GAL is an incredible statewide effort that gives abused and neglected children a voice in court.

GAL volunteers work alongside attorneys and staff to make sure every child's best interests are protected during abuse and neglect proceedings. They get to know the child, learn their story, and share their wishes with the court. Each advocate helps the judge see the full picture, not just the case file, so children can find safety, stability, and hope for the future.

If you've ever wondered how to make a real difference in a child's life, this is one powerful way to do it.
