Cookies for Change is back!🍪

Wayne County Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair, is proud to present this year’s Cookies for Change program, sponsored by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc.

Yesterday, our dedicated volunteers came together for food safety training to prepare for another year of baking, serving, and making a difference in our community. Through Cookies for Change, proceeds provide vital financial support for community service projects led by active ECA and 4-H clubs.

We’re grateful for the ECA and 4-H members who continue to turn cookies into opportunities to serve, lead, and create positive change right here in Wayne County. ❤️

Here’s to another sweet year of making a difference—one cookie at a time!

That’s a wrap on our inaugural Mount Olive 4-H Insect Collection Project! 🎓🐛

Last week marked our final class. Over the last six weeks, our young entomologists have worked hard learning to collect, identify, pin, and label their specimens using real scientific techniques. Now the exciting part begins as they fine-tuning their display boxes before submitting them for judging at the upcoming county and state fairs.

We could not be prouder of these youth and their supportive families! 🍀

NO BIKE? NO PROBLEM!🚲

Wayne County Cooperative Extension is proud to partner with local organizations to help make our upcoming Bicycle Rodeo an educational and engaging experience for youth and families.

The Goldsboro Optimist Club will volunteer their time to help participants build confidence and practice bike-riding skills, while Partnership For Children of Wayne County/Smart Start is helping make the event accessible by providing bikes and helmets for participants to use. Bring your own bike, or use one of ours! Bringing your own bike is completely optional.

Through community partnerships like these, we can provide youth opportunities to learn valuable skills, practice safety, build confidence, and have fun along the way. We look forward to seeing you at the Bicycle Rodeo next Saturday! 💙🚲
