We are excited to announce a significant milestone for public safety in our community. Formerly known as Klickitat County Emergency Management, we have officially transitioned to the Klickitat County Emergency Communications Department.

🔹 What is an ECC?
Under the International Association of Public Safety Professionals(APCO), our center is now defined as an Emergency Communications Center (ECC).

Definition: An ECC is a critical public safety hub responsible for receiving, processing, and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for service. It serves as the primary point of contact between the public and first responders, utilizing advanced technology and highly trained professionals to coordinate life-saving resources.

🔹 Our Mission & Leadership
Under the direction of Director Jeff King and Chief of Operations Filiberto Ontiveros our department remains the heartbeat of local emergency response. We handle all 911 emergency calls and non-emergency calls for service for:

All 3 Law Enforcement Agencies within the county. BWSPD,GPD,KCSO. We support other county and state agencies where possible.

All County Fire Departments across Klickitat County.

KCEMS1 our EMS agency for Goldendale Medics, Dallesport Medic and White Salmon Medic.
