Town of Golden Water System Update
The Town of Golden recently completed its scheduled bi-yearly well and pump performance testing as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient public water system.
These routine pump tests are conducted on each well to ensure that our water production equipment continues to operate at its intended design capacity and is capable of meeting the current and future water demands of our community. Regular performance testing is an essential component of preventative maintenance and allows our operator to identify any changes in pump efficiency or well production before they become larger issues.
During each pump test, a variety of evaluations and operational checks are performed to assess the overall condition and performance of the well and pumping equipment. These tests include measuring pumping capacity, monitoring flow rates, evaluating operating pressures, recording water levels, and verifying that each pump is performing within its expected operating parameters. The information collected during these tests helps us make informed decisions regarding maintenance, repairs, and future improvements to our water system infrastructure.
