Peaceful mornings and trash pickup day don't always go hand in hand - until now. The City of Golden Sustainability excited to be showcasing a model of an Electric Trash & Recycling Truck for the community.

This proposed service would reduce truck traffic, noise, congestion, and emissions all at once.

Come see the model trash truck on Tuesday, June 9, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Astor House. The demonstration will be followed by a downtown tour to see the truck in action from 11:00am - 12:00pm. No registration is required.

Electric motorcycles, or “e-motos,” are becoming more common in Golden. E-motos (think “pegs instead of pedals”) are illegal to operate on sidewalks, trails, parks, open space or roadways.

As summer gets underway, we want to avoid an increase in unsafe riding and prevent serious injuries before they happen.

Let’s make this a summer to remember for all the right reasons.

Parents and guardians need to understand the type of vehicle their child may be operating, where it may legally be used, and expectations for safe and respectful riding.
