I am looking forward to attending my 4th Special District Association of Colorado Conference in Keystone, CO next week.

As Pleasant Views Representative to the Colorado Special District Association Insurance Pool, I attend the conference in Keystone every year.

I am looking forward to seeing all my fellow board members and colleagues next week as well as providing a full report to the PV board in October!

Today, I announced my support for Colorado House Bill 25-1079, sponsored by Representative Tammy Story and Sen. Mike Weissman.

This bipartisan bill should be passed by my friends in the
Colorado House Republicans and Colorado House Democrats.

It is long past time for Special Districts to have oversight.

Today, Director Imer was notified that the Pleasant View Water and Sanitation District elections had been canceled because only three candidates were nominated for the three positions available on the board in the 2025 Municipal Elections.

Director Imer has, therefore, been re-elected to a second term on the Pleasant View Water and Sanitation District Board, this time serving a four-year term concurrent to the first three-year term that he was elected to in April of 2022.

Director Imer will be re-sworn in and re-take the oath of office at the April Board Meeting at Pleasant View Water and Sanitation District’s offices located at 955 Moss St in Golden, CO.

Director Imer issued the following statement:

“I am grateful for the continued trust of the Pleasant View Community to represent them on the Water and Sanitation District Board. My family has been an intricate part of the Pleasant View government for over 50 years, and I am honored to continue to serve our community in this small but mighty capacity.

During my first term, I fought to keep our mill levy the same, and I have spoken up in opposition to rate increases. I have never voted to increase the rates of Pleasant View Water and Sanitation’s customers, and I will maintain that stance in my second term.

I look forward to serving Pleasant View over the next four years, and I am excited to continue this vital work for our community.”

I would like to thank the people of Pleasant View for their patience as we have been dealing with our water situation.

Consolidated has assured us that the waters smell and taste will be back to normal very soon but it is safe to drink.

The swamp like smell has been caused by all the rain flooding Lena Gulch, the main water source for our community.

The flooding causes the minerals in the creek bed to be stirred up out of the sediment on the bottom of the creek. Hence the swampy smell and taste.

Once again, the water is safe and clean, not contaminated in any way.

The smell and taste should disappear within the next 7 days as the water flow returns to normal and the minerals settle back into the creek bed.
