JFCS hosted its 116th Annual Meeting – its first as Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minnesota – on June 10 at Beth El Synagogue. The agency held elections for the JFCS Board of Directors, welcoming those being elected for a first three-year term.

Volunteer Etta Lambright was honored as the recipient of the Anita and Jim Dinerstein Community Service Award. We also recognized the contributions of dedicated volunteers Andrea Binder, Gail Machov, Debbie Ross-Staska, Ann Rubin, and Melissa Siegel – amongst other programs, all of them have volunteered for Senior Services’ Memory Cafe program. Staff milestone anniversaries were recognized as well. JFCS' PJ Library MN will host Growing Jewishly: New Parent Education Sessions this summer. It is designed for parents and their new babies (0-14 months). If you welcomed a new baby in the past year, gain new knowledge and a new “village” at our Summer New Parent Education Sessions for the Jewish community. Attend one, two, or all three of these exciting, interactive events.

The first session, Mindful Movement: Baby Yoga & Massage, will be held Sunday, June 14. Join Dr. Krystle from Advanced Medical of Twin Cities as we begin the journey into infant/child massage and yoga style movements! These techniques can help with bonding, blood flow and circulation, digestion, reaching milestones, and so much more! This is a hands-on workshop, and you will leave with exclusive access to supplementary material so you can implement the techniques at home easily.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Sebastian Joe’s for our Volunteer Appreciation Event last week! We had such a wonderful time celebrating our incredible volunteer community who make such a meaningful impact.

It was so special to connect, enjoy some delicious ice cream, and spend time together recognizing all that you do. We loved seeing volunteers and staff meet one another, share stories, build connections, and celebrate the caring community that makes this work possible. We are deeply grateful for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others.
