Congrats to all of the candidates who won seats on local boards in yesterday’s elections. Looking forward to working with Vanessa, Adam, and Dan (and Adam French and Kelly Socia - I see you New Boston). You all worked hard, and running for office is not for the weak. Let’s keep working!

Last night, the Policy Review Subcommittee worked through the development of a district policy around the use of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Fakes. This proposal will come to the full School Board for a first read on December 1. From there, it will layover for 2 weeks until a second read and potential adoption. This is one component of the District’s response to the unfortunate and unacceptable actions that took place among some of our students. It has been a sensitive and difficult situation to navigate for all parties, but please be advised that the school, district and School Board have taken appropriate steps to address the incident that has occurred, and will continue to do so. I support all of our students and families during this time.

Good morning, Goffstown!

I know there has been some commentary around town about the Board taking action on the citizen petition Warrant Article relative to the publishing of the check register. I spoke on this at the board meeting, but I want to make clear my position. These are my thoughts and my thoughts only, and I do not speak for the Board.

I am not in support of publishing the check register. I have serious concerns about student and family privacy and the potential for identifiable information to be shared publicly. With that said, as public officials, there are times where we have to do what is right for our community and put our personal beliefs to the side. This I strongly believe, and I would hope that any elected official in Goffstown shares this sentiment. Since the voters demonstrated that they want this information published, I will support it, with many, many reservations.

As one of your school board representatives, I understand that I represent all members of our community, not just those that I agree with or who agree with me. We have to lead by example, and I hope this demonstrates my commitment to that.

I want to thank everyone for their support! We did it!

I am looking forward to continuing the work on the School Board for the next 3 years! I am excited that I will have the opportunity to continue working with Reta, and I can’t wait to begin working with Laura! It was such a great experience campaigning with you both.

Thank you to all of the candidates who ran for School Board. It’s not easy to campaign for office, but you all did it well and with cordial, issue-focused campaigns.

The past four years have been great; here’s to three more!

Annnnnd the day is done. We wait. I want to thank my little guy, Kieran, for coming out to hold signs with the old man for a bit. He had a great time seeing his future high school and seeing his “Aunt Kelly” at the polls.

What a day so far! There are still about 5 hours to get to the polls and make your voice heard!

I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the town of Goffstown as a member of its school board!

As we head into the last couple of days before the election, I want to thank everyone for what has been a really fun election season.

With that being said, anyone who is paying attention knows that public education is at risk. It’s only a matter of time before federal and state mandates impact us locally. It’s important that we continue to elect local school board members who are committed to supporting our public schools.

As someone who has dedicated their life to education, I promise that I will always do what is best for Goffstown’s students and families. I have the experience, knowledge and determination to ensure that we responsibly maintain the high standards that our schools in Goffstown have set for themselves.

Serving Goffstown’s residents over the past four years has been a pleasure and a privilege, and I humbly ask that you continue to place your trust in me on March 11, and re-elect me to the Goffstown School Board.

I was made aware of this sign earlier today, and then encountered it myself. It is paid for by the “Goffstown Republican Organization”. I want to be clear to all of Goffstown’s voters and residents: This is a distraction. School Choice is not on the ballot on March 11.

“School choice” is largely a State government level issue. In my four years of service on the Goffstown School Board, I have never cast a vote that had any impact on whether or not “school choice” exists. As an experienced educator, I know there isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to education, and school choice is important for students and families. I think most of us who work in education, or who understand teaching and learning, agree with that.

Politicizing “school choice” in an effort to claim that one group of people is for it, while the other is against, is deceitful, and has no place in a non-partisan town election. I don’t blame any of the candidates for this misinformation, but I would urge the “powers that be” who are throwing their resources behind certain candidates on party lines to make a better effort to focus on the issues that are relevant to our elections, and more importantly, our families, here in Goffstown.
