Are you dealing with issues on your hemlocks? Come out to the Chamberlin Library in Greenville on September 9 at 6:30 pm to learn about the newest invasive threat to NH, the spotted lantern fly. Learn how to identify it, understand its impact, and what to do if you encounter it. We will also provide an update and some management options for two invasive insects that are impacting the health of hemlocks in New Hampshire, the hemlock woolly adelgid and elongate hemlock scale.

What does it take to feel confident caring for your own woodlands? Knowledge, practice and a supportive learning environment.

The Concord Monitor recently highlighted UNH Extension's Chainsaw Safety & Maintenance course, part of the Women in the Woods program, which helps participants build practical forestry skills through hands-on instruction.

Created through a partnership between UNH Extension, the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the program offers introductory workshops that empower participants to take a more active role in managing and caring for their land.

New Hampshire residents, we want to hear from you!
The University of New Hampshire's Bigornia Research Lab is seeking adults across the state to participate in a research study exploring dairy and seafood habits.
Your participation will help researchers better understand the factors that influence food choices in our communities.
The study includes a brief screening and a virtual questionnaire session.
You may qualify if you:
Are 18 or older and live in New Hampshire
Have internet access
Do not have fish or dairy allergies
You do not need to regularly eat dairy or seafood to participate. Participants who complete the study will receive a small thank-you.
