Every Godley High School athletic program reached the postseason during the 2025-26 school year. 🏆

From district championships and state qualifiers to historic playoff runs and coaching milestones, it was one of the most successful years in Wildcat and Ladycat athletics history.

Highlights included:
🏅 Ryan McFarland earning a state bronze medal in swimming and Region II-4A Male Athlete of the Meet honors
⚽ Ladycat soccer advancing to the UIL State Semifinals and capturing the program's first regional championship
⚽ Wildcat soccer earning the first playoff appearance in program history
🏃 Ladycat cross country qualifying for the UIL State Championships
⛳ Boys and girls golf competing at the UIL State Tournament
🏋️ Maloney Hambrice and Ty Mathis qualifying for the UIL State Powerlifting Championships
🥎 A fifth consecutive district championship for Ladycat softball
🏐 A perfect district season and district championship for Ladycat volleyball
🏀 A fourth consecutive district championship for Ladycat basketball

Most importantly, every Godley High School athletic program advanced to postseason competition.

If students complete a Bingo Blackout this summer (that means every square is covered) they can return the Bingo board to their campus library for a reward! 🌾🏆 What a year for Godley FFA!

From state contests and leadership positions to scholarships, livestock exhibitions and degree advancement, Godley FFA members achieved success at every level during the 2025-26 school year.

Highlights include:
✅ State qualifiers and state medalists in Leadership Development Events, Career Development Events and Speaking Development Events
✅ Six students earning the prestigious Lone Star FFA Degree
✅ Multiple members earning scholarships and leadership honors at the district, area and state levels
✅ Dozens of students recognized for leadership, competition and agricultural achievement

🦎📚 What a great morning at Summer Days StoryTime!

Students and families enjoyed the Living Prehistoric program with The Creature Teacher, learning about modern-day descendants of ancient mammals and reptiles. Participants got an up-close look at a variety of fascinating animals, including a tortoise, silky chicken, lemur, red tegu, boa constrictor and even an albino wallaby!

This was just the first of five exciting Summer Days StoryTime programs at Legacy Elementary School. Join us every Tuesday in June for more books, activities and hands-on learning experiences:

🍽️ Free Summer Meals for Kids!

Godley ISD will offer free breakfast and lunch for all children ages 18 and under Monday through Friday through June 23, 2026, at Godley 6th Grade Campus.

☀️ Breakfast: 7-8:30 a.m.
🍴 Lunch: 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

No cost. Open to all children 18 and under. 💜💛
