💜💛 50+ YEARS OF COACHING. A LIFETIME OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE! 💛💜

🏈 Godley Middle School celebrated a true Wildcat legend on Tuesday as Coach Jerry Campbell was honored during his FINAL pep rally!

After more than 50 years of coaching, teaching and inspiring young people, Coach Campbell will retire at the end of the 2026-27 school year.

Since beginning his coaching career in 1974, Coach Campbell has impacted countless students and athletes across Texas and California. A published author, nationally recognized speaker and recipient of a 2025 Teaching Excellence Award, his accomplishments are impressive — but it's his encouragement and genuine care for others that make him so special.

💬 If you've met Coach Campbell, you've probably heard his famous greeting: "Hey, Big Guy! You're AWESOME!"

Coach, now it's OUR turn to tell YOU: YOU'RE AWESOME! 👏💜

Thank you for more than five decades of making a difference. One final pep rally, but a legacy that will last forever!

👏 STUDENT LEADERSHIP IN ACTION! 🐾

Godley 6th Grade Campus Student Council President Tanner Johnson saw a need, took the initiative and made it happen!

Tanner presented a proposal to Principal Jayme Duckett requesting microwaves for students to use during lunch. He then wrote a letter to a local business seeking support — and his efforts resulted in THREE brand-new microwaves for the G6 cafeteria! 🎉

🙌 A huge THANK YOU to Paul Broce, store director of the Fort Worth Montgomery Plaza Target, for generously donating the microwaves!

We're proud of Tanner for advocating for his classmates and showing how student leadership can make a real difference!

💜🚌 THANK YOU TO OUR GODLEY ISD BUS DRIVERS!

As National School Bus Safety Week comes to a close, we're celebrating the dedicated transportation professionals who help our Wildcats travel safely to and from school each day!

Our bus drivers do much more than drive. They greet students, navigate busy roads, monitor student safety and help make sure every ride is a safe one.

👏 Thank you to our Godley ISD Transportation Department for your commitment to student safety!

And remember, school bus safety is everyone's responsibility. Whether you're behind the wheel, riding the bus or waiting at a bus stop, your actions make a difference.

🚌 SAFE RIDES START WITH SMART CHOICES!

During National School Bus Safety Week, we're reminding our Wildcats that staying safe starts before they even step on the bus!

✅ WAIT SAFELY: Stand well back from the curb while waiting for your bus.

✅ BOARD CAREFULLY: Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver signals it's safe to board.

✅ RIDE RESPONSIBLY: Stay seated, listen to your driver and avoid distractions.

✅ CROSS SAFELY: Always cross in front of the bus, never behind it. Make eye contact with the driver and wait for the signal to cross.

Parents and guardians, take a moment to review these important safety habits with your children!
