Berkshire Volunteer Fire Department got to spend the morning with the Fulton County YMCA Summer camp staff and kids.
Thank you for having us!
Assistant Chief Deb Finkle and firefighters Michael and Caleb showed off 161. The kids had a blast playing in the water sprayed from the master stream.
It was a great day!

This post is a little late and this picture is a little old but Berkshire is proud to spot light two of our very own Firefighters.
Congratulations to Ian Heberer and Nicholas Buck on their well-deserved achievements and continued service to the community!
It is fantastic to see both veterans transitioning their military experience into vital emergency services roles:
Ian Heberer: Following his service in the Navy, Ian served as an EMT with Lake Valley Ambulance, joined the Johnstown Fire Department, earned his Paramedic certification, and is now attending the fire academy.
Nicholas Buck: After returning from the Marines, Nick earned his EMT certification, joined the Gloversville Fire Department, and is also attending the fire academy.

Best of luck to both of them as they complete the the Firefighter academy training!
