There is a lot of confusion out there about early voting. Exactly what the opposition wants out there now. You need to get your family and friends out to vote NO! PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW.
1 - DO NOT listen to anyone who tells you not to vote early, or your vote will not count. FALSE! Go VOTE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026! If you can't vote on Friday, VOTE on Monday, or as soon as you can!
Voting will be at the General Registrar's office, 6467 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday each week until the election.
If you can't make it during the week, you can vote on SATURDAY, April 11, 2026 from 9 AM - 5 PM, and SATURDAY, April 18, 2026 from 9 M - 5 PM.
The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is, April 10, 2026
The last day to register to vote is, April 14, 2026
2 - There is a lot of confusion about the lawsuits being filed in Tazewell, please know, those two lawsuits have not stopped voting or this special election to date. We can not count on the VA Supreme court to do anything before April 21st. GO VOTE EARLY! Bank you vote, your VOTE WILL COUNT!
3 - Localities are encouraged to have local governments pass resolutions indicating this special election is unconstitutional and vote NO!
4 - ALL filing deadlines for those seeking the Republican nominations for office have not changed!
5- The primary date has been moved to Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
6 - WE NEED volunteers, to help put up large signs, make phone calls, knock doors, work the poll, etc. If you can help by volunteering to work the poll at the Courthouse.
7 - We must get the word out to our family and friends and let them know that the special election on April 21st will shape Virginia like never before and I can not tell you enough, WE MUST TURN OUT THE VOTE!
8 - We have yard signs and large signs! Let me know if you want a yard sign!

Special Election April 21, 2026, for Proposed Constitutional Amendment
During the 2026 Regular Session of the General Assembly, legislators passed and the Governor signed House Bill 1384 designating a Proposed Constitutional Amendment question to be presented to voters on April 21, 2026, Special Election.
Proposed Constitutional Amendment
Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?

The June Primary has shifted from June 16 to August 4, 2026!
The 2026 Primary Election date was changed by the General Assembly in House Bill 29, which was signed into law on February 20. Under this new law, the primary date change is only for the 2026 election year. The primary date change is not contingent on the passage of the scheduled April 21, 2026, referendum, nor whether the referendum is held.
We will also have a Special Election in November.
