FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date:6/7/26
Time: 1320

As a result of the Pioneer Fire, the Gila County Sheriff's Office and Gila County Emergency
Management have recommended that the following areas be placed on a “SET” mode on the Ready, Set, Go model:

Brownsville Mobile Home Park

SET – Be Alert
Know there is significant danger in your area.
• Residents should consider voluntarily relocating with family/friends outside the affected area. Residents should avoid close contact with those who are sick and should practice public health recommendations when relocating.
• Grab your emergency go kit.
• Keep in mind unique needs for your family or special equipment for pets and livestock.
• Stay aware of the latest news and information from public safety and public health officials.
• This might be the only notice you receive. Emergency services cannot guarantee they will be
able to notify everyone if conditions rapidly deteriorate. Be SET to GO.

Although these communities are not immediately threatened, the SET notification is a preparatory
measure. For more information go to https://ein.az.gov/ready-set-go

🎗️ 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Today, we recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and courage of cancer survivors everywhere. 💜

Currently, about 18.6 million Americans are living as cancer survivors, and that number is expected to grow to more than 22 million over the next decade. Advances in prevention, detection, and treatment continue to save lives and give hope to millions of families.

In the mid-1970s, the 5-year cancer survival rate was 50%. Today, it has increased to 70%, meaning more survivors are reaching important milestones and celebrating more years with loved ones. Every milestone is worth celebrating. 🎉

Today and every day, we honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand with everyone impacted by cancer. 💜
