Recently we have a certificated teacher receive their CTE credentials, enabling us to offer classes in the Natural Resources field. Currently, we are offering Forest Management and Ecology to our high school students. The forests and grasslands around us, along with the abundance of animal and bird species that adorn our landscape, provide a living classroom for our students. We often take advantage of our landscape to provide students with hands-on, real-world learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Initiatives include course offerings connecting students with the area’s natural resources, revitalization of the high school’s varsity basketball program, and outside art offerings for our elementary students through the Columbia Center for the Arts.
