🌧️ Storm Cleanup Update – City of Glenwood 🌧️
Over the past week, Glenwood has experienced significant rainfall, followed by last night's hailstorm. As a result, many leaves, small branches, and other debris have been washed or blown onto our streets, alleys, and into gutter lines.
City crews are actively working throughout the community to clean streets, culvert inlets, catch basins, and alleys. Our immediate priority is clearing inlets and catch basin areas to help prevent storm drains from becoming plugged before the next rainfall event. Keeping water flowing properly is critical to reducing the risk of localized street flooding.
We are asking for your help. If possible, please keep vehicles off the street whenever you can to allow the street sweeper and cleanup crews better access to affected areas. The more open the streets are, the more efficiently we can complete cleanup operations.
We also encourage residents to clear leaves and debris away from catch basins near their property when it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and assistance as we work together to keep Glenwood safe and prepared for future rain events.
