The Town of Glenville Supervisor has declared a State of Emergency effective Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM through Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 7:00 AM due to the pending snowstorm.

🚫 On-street parking is prohibited during this time.
🚗 Any vehicle parked on the roadway may be ticketed and/or towed.
⚠️ Residents are urged to limit travel and use caution if driving is absolutely necessary.

Your cooperation helps our Highway Department and emergency services keep the roads clear and our community safe.

We are out picking up Christmas trees. We will continue through the end of January.

Place your tree to the edge of the road, do not have anything on it as we put them through the chipper. No tree bags, lights or stands.

Loose Leaf program update:
Monday, November 24th we will start our last pass through the Town (WEATHER PERMITTING). If we go by your house on or after the 24th, do not expect us to be back.
Please remember to keep your piles off of the road and no wider than 8'.
No stick or rocks in the piles are allowed.

We have completed the first pass of loose leaf pick up through the Town. We have started on our second pass today. All 4 crews are currently in zone 1.

We are out in full force picking loose leaves. We are currently working in zone 1. List of zones in photo.

As always, please do not put sticks, or rocks in your leaf pile as it will cause damage to the machine.

Place your leaf piles on the edge of the road (not in the road), do not make the pile any wider than 8' as the hose will not reach.

We will make every effort to continue to pick loose leaves until mother nature does not allow us to.

Glenville Highway Department does not pick bags & brush. Your garbage hauler does.

Swaggertown Road (CR #43) will be closed between Onderdonk Road and Bolt Road (CR #34) beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 and reopening at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday August 21, 2025. Local Traffic Only

Recommended Detour

Northbound: Spring Road (CR #47) south to Snake Hill Road (CR #32) west to Sacandaga Road (SR #147) north to Bolt Road (CR #34) east to Swaggertown Road (CR #43)

Southbound: Bolt Road (CR #34) west to Sacandaga Road (SR #147) south to Snake Hill Road (CR #32) east to Spring Road (CR #47) north to Swaggertown Road (CR #43)
