Before you know it, it will be time to welcome the new 5th graders into the Youth Center through our Summer Reading Program!🎉 Each August we open up the YC to our incoming 5th graders to brush up on some reading, writing, and math skills—we also have a whole lot of fun with daily games, STEAM challenges, puzzles, and LUNCH!😍
We only have room for a max of 30 students,
so be sure to email us soon to secure your spot!☀️🍉📖

Thank you to the Glens Falls Tree Commission for helping our kids plant a sugar maple tree in the front yard of the Matt Congdon Wellness Center! Even the mayor, Diana Palmer, came by to help us mark this special occasion! We can’t wait to watch this tree grow over the years alongside the children that we serve at the YC🌱🌳💛

We figured we better warm you all up for the big night with a YC trivia question!❓🍽️ Have you found your team of 6 players and secured your table? You don’t want to miss an incredible night of trivia hosted by .labs.trivia, delicious food provided by .pizzeria, and dozens of great prizes up for grabs! Matt Congdon was the Executive Director of the Youth Center for 36 years. His work was nothing short of exemplary. His strength, spirit, and selflessness touched the lives of thousands of children. His love will never be forgotten. Each year we give out awards in Matt’s honor to assist our graduating seniors on their next chapter in life.
These scholarships will be awarded to students that need financial assistance, demonstrate a drive for academic excellence, have a tenacious work ethic and have the fortitude to overcome any obstacles that may cross their path. Most importantly, though, these students must have an unfailingly kind heart. Stop in for an application, today! 🎓💛
