September 6-12, 2026 is National Su***de Prevention Week, part of National Su***de Prevention Month.

We can all take steps to help those around us, and try to get them the assistance they need.

It can start with a simple phone call or text to local or national counselors is a great way to get the help that is needed. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩, 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝟗𝟖𝟖.

Painting with Patrice returns to Up Yonda Farm on Saturday, September 26th.

Celebrate the beauty of local wildlife with this striking Canada goose in flight at sunset. With bold silhouettes set against a glowing sky, this piece is perfect for artists of all skill levels. By the end of class, you’ll have your own nature-inspired painting that reflects the peaceful yet powerful moments found in the wild.

Paint with Patrice classes are open to all ages and artistic abilities. Participants will use acrylic paints on an 8×8 inch stretched canvas and take home a finished painting. All supplies are included in fee.

Along this 1-mile hike, you'll discover fascinating Adirondack plants and wildlife while learning about the forest ecosystem. The journey includes a stop at our scenic vista overlooking Lake George. A perfect place to take in the view and appreciate the beauty of the Lake.

Online registration is open for our next pet rabies clinic, which will be held Saturday, July 18 at Queensbury Community Center. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We are requiring registration for our rabies clinics, and registration will be open between July 8 and July 15 for this clinic, with a maximum of 100 registrants.

There is no charge, but a donation of $10 is suggested to help cover our costs.

We will have three more rabies clinics in 2026 after this one. Check the attached graphic for dates and locations.

In addition, the SPCA of Upstate New York will be offering free microchipping for animals registered for our upcoming rabies vaccination clinic on July 18th from 10am-noon. This is only for registered participants receiving a rabies vaccine, no walk ins.

The Glens Falls Police Department utilizes our Bicycle Patrol Unit to patrol local bike paths and other areas that may be difficult to access with traditional patrol vehicles. Our bicycle officers are also deployed at special events throughout the City, allowing for increased mobility, enhanced community engagement, and a more visible police presence.
