The Briarcliffe Fire Company is located in Darby Township, Delaware County Pennsylvania and has been devoted to serving the residents in the Briarcliffe section of Darby Township and our neighboring communities since 1954. Since our inception, we have been dedicated in providing Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services. In 2018 we completed a modern addition onto our existing building allowi

ng us space to house more vehicles, a conference room, crew lounge area, as well as additional office and storage spaces. We also house our retired Engine which is a 1986 Ford / E-One which we use for various community outreach events. Our mission is to protect and serve the residents of Briarcliffe and its surrounding communities in which we are called upon, with the strong dedication and professionalism of our members.

The Briarcliffe Fire Company send their Deepest Sympathies and prayers for the loss of FF/EMT Mark Lemke, Jr. Mark was a member of Woolwich Fire Company (NJ), Gloucester County EMS, Boothwyn Fire Company, and Longwood Fire Company. May FF/EMT Lemke Rest In Peace and may God watch over his family, friends, and First Responder family.

This afternoon just after 2 pm we were assigned for clean up resulting from a minor oil spill on Rively Ave.
Crews already being on the street made the rapid response and quickly mitigated the situation determining the fluid was hydraulic oil from a refuse truck. The street was closed to traffic as generous amounts of absorbent material was broadcast onto the road surface.
The oil was properly contained thus preventing additional hazards.
This was one of three calls for service handled by our volunteers this afternoon in addition to a building fire on Noblet Ave and a medical assist to our ambulance duty crew.

Maybe you hold a title similar to those pictured. Wherever your skill sets lie, we are always in need of outstanding local residents in and around Briarcliffe willing to help make a difference. We also have positions open for clerical assistance and general facility maintenance to name a few.
